FAQ
Picser is a sandboxed macOS app. When you open folders, open images from Finder, scan subfolders, or load images from the same directory, macOS may ask you to grant access to that folder. Picser uses that access only for the local images and folders you choose.
Deleting the current image is available in the free version. Depending on your settings, Picser shows a confirmation first, then moves the image to Trash or permanently deletes it. If macOS blocks access, Picser guides you to grant permission again. Batch deletion from tag filter results is part of the Pro tag workflow.
Picser currently supports JPEG, PNG, GIF, HEIC, TIFF, WebP, and SVG. Folder browsing uses the same supported-format list when building the image set.
Pro users can export copies as JPEG, PNG, HEIC, or TIFF. Overwriting the original is limited by the original file type; vector, animated, or non-writable formats are not treated as overwrite targets.
Use Restore Purchases in Picser settings or from the upgrade prompt. Purchases and restores are handled by the App Store. If your entitlement does not refresh after restoring, try refreshing the receipt and confirm that you are signed in with the Apple ID used for the purchase.
In cache management inside settings, you can view cache size, clear image cache, open the cache folder, and clear saved folder authorization bookmarks. Clearing cache does not delete your original images.
No. Tags, filters, colors, and image associations are stored in a local SQLite database on your Mac for Picser's local asset workflow. Before uninstalling the app or deleting local data, decide whether you need your own backup.
